Managing your subscription & top-ups
The account side of PonPon: free vs paid plans, the Basic–Creator tiers, weekly allowance, topping up with credit packs, checking your balance, upgrading, and cancelling.
This page covers the account and billing side — choosing a plan, topping up, and managing it. For how credits are actually spent, read Credits and plans first.
Free vs paid
- Free — every signed-in account gets free daily credits that refresh each day, enough to try everything with no payment.
- Paid plans — add a larger allowance plus other perks. PonPon has four tiers, each scaling up your credits: Basic → Pro → Ultimate → Creator. Current prices and exact allowances are always on the Pricing page.
A paid plan is the right move once your daily free credits run short — pick the tier whose allowance matches how much you generate.
Topping up
Need more than your allowance for a busy stretch? Buy a one-off credit pack — it sits on top of your plan and isn't tied to the daily/weekly refresh, so it waits until you actually need it. Packs are on the Pricing page.
Checking your balance
Your remaining credits show in the top navigation whenever you're signed in, and the full breakdown — balance, allowance, and plan — lives on your profile. Because it's stored on your account, it follows you across phone, laptop, and tablet.
What counts against your allowance
Every generation draws credits; bigger, longer, higher-resolution outputs cost more, and the exact price is shown on the Generate button before you commit. Failed or cancelled generations are refunded automatically, so you're only charged for results you keep.
Upgrading, downgrading, or cancelling
Manage your plan from your account billing settings: change tier, update payment details, or cancel. A cancellation keeps your benefits until the end of the period you've already paid for — you don't lose access the moment you cancel.
Web vs mobile
- On the web, plans and top-ups go through the standard checkout and billing portal.
- In the mobile app, subscriptions are billed through the app store, and you manage or cancel them in your app-store account settings.
When you run out
If a generation costs more than your balance, you'll see an insufficient-credits prompt. You can wait for the daily refresh, buy a top-up pack, upgrade, or simply lower the cost — a shorter clip, lower resolution, or a faster model tier all reduce the price. See Troubleshooting generations and the FAQ.
