One-tap Effects
Effects turn a single photo into a themed AI video — no prompt needed. How they work, what you get, the categories, photo tips, and when to use an effect vs the video generator.
An Effect is a one-tap video template. You bring a photo; PonPon brings the model and the prompt. Instead of describing a scene, you pick a look from the Effects library, drop in an image, and get a short themed clip back — no prompt writing at all.
How an effect works
- Pick an effect from the Effects library. Each tile previews the result you'll get.
- Upload a photo. Most effects animate a person, so a clear portrait or selfie works best — the AI needs strong facial detail to build the shot.
- Generate. PonPon runs the effect's preset model and prompt for you and returns the finished video. You can download it or carry it into Flow to sequence with other clips.
What you get
Each effect outputs a short themed video clip with motion — for example, the *Absolute Replica* effect shows a doll-making process and a side-by-side reveal of your "clone." The styling, the model, and the motion are all fixed by the effect, which is exactly why it's one tap.
Every effect has its own page with example results and a short FAQ (what photo works best, how it differs from similar effects) — check it before you generate so you know what to expect.
What's in the library

Effects live or die on the input photo:
- Use a clear, well-lit portrait with the face fully visible.
- Avoid heavy shadows, extreme angles, or photos where the face is partly hidden.
- For couple or group effects, make sure every face is sharp.
Effects vs the video generator
Reach for an effect when you want a specific, ready-made look with zero setup. Reach for the video generator when you want to direct the shot yourself — your own prompt, model, camera move, and length. If you have a still you love and just want it to move, image-to-video sits in between: your image, your prompt, full model choice.
